There's been a few major changes to the DistantLands 2014 schedule. Here's the new outline:
WorldDownloader is the only option I know of for those wishing to download their own worlds. I don't know if it works with 1.7.9 because I've never used it. Of course you could download your place at any time before the final quest. Most locations will be screenshotted for the Facebook group page anyway.
Applications will be for builder positions and possibly LAL positions. More information about that to come later.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.
- July 6: Second to last quest. Use this week to use WorldDownloader (if it works; I haven't checked) to download your places
- July 13: Final quest. Secret phase has been removed
- July 15~19: Build phase setup. Server goes private. This is the time applications will start opening
- July 20: Build Phase is hopefully running smoothly by now
- December 5: LAL opens
