texture pack

ive made a server texture pack. its mostly a combination of SMP revival and feathersong. using this texture pack will enhance your distantlands experience; everything i make now is designed to be viewed with this pack.

the texture pack should download itself and update itself when you log on to the server, but if it doesnt, delete the version in your texture packs folder and make sure youve got server texture packs on in your options. if it still doesnt work, delete the distantlands_current one from your multiplayer cache skins

alternate uses for blocks in 1.2.5g:

• yellow wool can be used hay/straw tied up for roofing or bails
  
• pink/light red wool can be used for hanging red cloth/curtains
  
• birch and jungle plank bkocks can be used as crates
  
• brown wool is slightly different and can be used for a wood-like surface
  
• light purple wool is slightly different and can be used for textured purple material
  
• pistons can be used as counter-tops if placed facing upwards

winter is here! updated to the winter version same link as before and it should download automatically when you join. dont forget to use mcpatcher!

another update to the texture pack. as always, there is a bunch of changes. a few of them are:

• leather armour helm is a hood
  
• obsidian is tiles
  
• birch plank is changed so its perfect for slabs
  
• bookshelves have multicoloured books
  
• nether brick is dark brick with light mortar
  
• chiseled stone brick is slightly different (again)
  
• grass is thicker and taller
  
• bed covers are darker
  
• various other subtle changes

update your texture pack because tomorrow is summer in distantlands! use the link in the top post to download it.

• Summer changes: lots of green, bright blue skies, desert skies are hot, water is brighter, etc.
  
• Changed bedrock to dark slate-ish tiles.
  
• Changed cobblestone (and mossy) again.
  
• Iron blocks are dark, like actual iron.
  
• Obsidian is back to its previous state.
  
• Sides of crafting tables have been changed.
  
• Oak/birch leaves are thicker in fancy graphics mode.
  
• Note blocks/jukeboxes changed to look like furniture.
  
• Sides of pistons changed to look more like counters/wood panelling.
  
• Pink (royal) wool changed slightly.
  
• Cauldrons now look like open barrels.
  
• Mushroom flesh changed to look like grey vertical masonry.
  
• Lapis blocks are blue bricks.
  
• Emerald blocks look like a single large gemstone block.
