Congratulations

I would like to congratulate mayors Okdok and B_rank on becoming barons.

The baron is a new class between a mayor and a duke. A baron can use a flint and steel, but is not allowed to light portals! Barons can also purchase diamond armour from the bank.

You can also ask a lord to flag your town so that monsters cannot spawn there. Also, if you wish, you may request that your town is placed on the map at spawn.

There are many criteria involved. A baron ideally meets all the following prerequisites to a satisfactory degree:

1. Good at building with a distinct and consistent style.
   
2. Good at fighting; at least able to defend themselves.
   
3. Good personality; not argumentative, arrogant, or trollish.
   
4. Positive comments made by other members about the person.
   
5. At some point, they have had a large amount of money (around 20k).
   
6. Good reputation; barely been warned about breaking rules.
   
7. Never been banned.
   
8. Clearly shown progress in terms of server contribution, especially in regards to their town.
   
9. A town of a significant size; at least 100x100 is ideal.
   
10. Visits regularly, and contributes to discussion and community when present.
    
11. Deemed to be responsible and unlikely to abuse any rights given.
    
12. Displays reasonable maturity (ideally around 15 years of age or older).
